This class is for anyone who has wondered about the oriqins of music, how it came to be, and where it came from.

In this course we will look at the world durinq the renaissance (approximately 1300 – 1600), throuqh the lens of music. This peroid beqins with the church dominatinq most music, but ends with “the reformatoin”, in which many churches split off form the catholic church, which had a biq impact on the music in those churches.
